Established in 1995 through the successful efforts of the Doğuş Education Foundation, and opened by Law No. 4281 dated July 9, 1997, accepted by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Doğuş University is a non-profit foundation university with public legal personality. Having quickly established itself successfully in higher education through rapid academic progress, Doğuş University offers 34 undergraduate programs in 5 faculties, 1 vocational school program in the School of Health Sciences, 45 associate degree programs in the Vocational School, and 22 master's and 4 doctoral programs in the Graduate Education Institute, thus participating in all levels of higher education. Since 1997, Doğuş University has prioritized providing quality education with a distinguished academic staff, training well-equipped students, and making significant contributions to the scientific world, and it continues to progress without deviating from this goal. The emphasis placed on academic quality ensures the continuous increase in the successes attributed to Doğuş University, placing it among the best in impartial rankings by various sources. Two key examples are Web of Science data and URAP reports, which show Doğuş University among the top 2,000 universities in the world and among the top 3 private universities in Istanbul (excluding medical faculties). The fact that Doğuş University graduates continue their academic or professional careers not only in Türkiye but also abroad, making lasting and pioneering contributions in their fields, is seen as a crowning achievement of this success.
