The concept of “creative industries” which takes its place and uniqueness in the sector from its inovativeness, briefly includes the fields which builds its economic power on creativity. The creative industries whose contributions to the culture and the economy have been noticed since the beginning of the 90’s, is gaining importance day by day with the increase of the investments and researches on the fields that it contains. The national and international organizations like the governments, the municipalities and the universities are generating ideas about the concept and the scope of the creative industries and have a high opinion of the potential of the creative industries. Such that last year United Nations opened a Global Call for an industry for the first time and applied for the support of creative industries on an issue that affected the whole world such as the pandemic and was nourished by the added value that creative thinking would generate.Bahçeşehir University Creative Industries Research Center (BAUKEM) is established for representing the creative industries in education, development of these industries in the context of research and giving an opportunity for the projects. Our center focuses on creative industries in the light of different disciplines and perspectives with the expertise of our researchers and professionals. BAUKEM which has been active about projects since 2012, approaches to the main themes of the creative industries with a global point of view and raises awareness of this growing industry with various projects and events.
